First, let me ask you a couple of questions.....

  • Do you have trouble falling asleep?

  • Do you wake up several times every night?

  • Do you find it difficult to get up in the morning?

  • Do you (or your partner, or family member) snore, sleep walk or have regular nightmares?
and (here's the biggie)........... do you feel tired all the time?

If you answered "yes" to one or more of the above, take heart - you're not alone!

Statistics show that 70 MILLION Americans (that's almost 25% of the population) suffer from sleeping disorders.

Studies also show that the US isn't the only country with sleep deprived citizens. In many other countries around the world, between 20 and 30% of the population suffer from sleep related problems.

That's the bad news, but we're not going to dwell on it! You're here because you want better sleep right? You want to -

  • Wake up easily when the alarm goes off, without feeling as though you need another 12 hours shut-eye

  • Have quicker reflexes, clearer thought processes and a spring in your step and energy and enthusiasm to spare

As an 'almost 50' year old woman, I've had my share of sleepless nights.

Whether the tossing and turning is due to anxiety, pregnancy, raising 6 kids, a snoring husband, menopause, or any number of varied (or bizarre) reasons, the results for me are always the same :

The feeling of slogging through quicksand on a foggy day!

A short temper, slower brain processes, aches and pains, and the general feeling of lethargy that accompanies poor sleep are not beneficial to a busy lifestyle.

I discovered a long time ago that getting better sleep isn't a luxury, it's a necessity!

I'm lucky that, in general, my sleep problems aren't chronic, and tend to be situational or transient. However, in an effort to keep up with my 'to do' list, over the years I've spent a fair bit of time and energy trying to improve both the length and quality of my sleep.

The results of that work, plus extensive study and the close scrutiny of recent, ongoing and upcoming research, centered on sleep, sleep deprivation, sleeping disorders and sleep benefits, are the basis for this site. My goal is simple - for you to get better sleep tonight, and every night!
