Sometimes I have difficulty going to sleep because I lay awake thinking about my problems or worries that I will face the next day at work. One thing that has helped me is to keep a small notepad and pen on my nightstand.
Then, when I can't go to sleep... I jot down the things that are worrying me and sometimes include a few notes about what I'm going to do about these "stressors."
By logging my worries (and possible solutions), it provides some relief and enables me to fall asleep easier.
I don't know if this will help anyone else... but it has worked for me. And, the more sleep I get, the better I am able to face the the issues I wrote about the next day.
